Granisetron (Kytril)

Granisetron is an anti-nausea medication that your physician may prescribe for you during chemotherapy.

This medication may be used alone or along with other drugs to prevent nausea and vomiting that may occur with chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment.

How do you take this Medication:

Oral Tablets: Take this drug as ordered by your doctor If you are to take this medication before your chemotherapy or radiation treatment, it is is better to take it ONE hour before your treatment.  You may also need to take the medication for a few days after treatment.

Injection: Your nurse will inject the medication into your bloodstream over a period of about 3-15 minutes.
